Paul Varjak: Tiffany's? You mean the jewelry store.
Holly Golightly: That's right. I'm just CRAZY about Tiffany's!

Holly Golightly: Nothing, except I can never remember when it's coming up.

I miei cinque film preferiti

 

 

Ho amato questi film e devo ringraziare mia madre per avermi fatto conoscere la maggior parte di essi. Soprattutto per "Colazione da Tiffany" e per "Anastasia" che abbiamo visto insieme quando io ero ancora piccolissima. Ho dei bellissimi ricordi legati a questi due film.

"La febbre dell'oro" lo vidi invece per la prima volta insieme a mio padre, che lo registrò su  una videocassetta (ah, il caro vecchio VHS) il giorno del mio undicesimo compleanno. Ricordo che risi per la maggior parte del tempo. Soprattutto nel punto in cui Chaplin fa la bellissima danza con i panini.

"Il favoloso mondo di Amélie Poulain" è un amore relativamente recente. L'ho scoperto qualche anno fa. E lo rivedo sempre con immenso piacere. Amo tutto di questo film: lei in primis, i colori, Parigi, gli interni rimasti così deliziosamente vintage, la delicatezza delle riprese. Stupendo. Il mio punto preferito? L'attimo in cui Amélie illustra i suoi piccoli piaceri e immerge la mano nel sacco dei legumi.

"North by Northwest" invece l'ho scovato nel tristissimo cesto delle occasioni al supermercato qualche anno fa. Avevo già visto diversi lavori di Hitchcock e mi erano piaciuti parecchio soprattutto "Caccia al ladro" e "La finestra sul cortile" ma questo, non saprei dire per quale motivo preciso, mi ha affascinata. Sicuramente la maestria degli attori ha giocato la sua parte.
